The art of good food according to Helsinki Culinary Institute:
Since 1994 we have guided thousands of enthusiastic amateurs and almost as many professionals through the infinitely inspiring world of cuisine and the art of cooking.
We are situated in the heart of Helsinki near Diana Park. We also have a beautiful restaurant, Villa Hakkari, in Lempäälä some 20 km from Tampere.
We uphold the same principals as a top restaurant. In spite of that everybody feels comfortable in our kitchen. Our courses tackle not only the basis of classical Cuisine, but also teach techniques which every ambitious home chef should master. Our kitchen is equipped with new and modern Gaggenau kitchen machines.
We arrange customised 6-8 hour courses and 4-hour workshops for English-, Swedish-, or Finnish -speaking groups.
In our premises in Helsinki we can take groups consisting of up to 14 persons and in Villa Hakkari groups of 20 persons are no obstacle.
You can choose from many different themes like sauce, fish, seafood, game, and Scandinavian food. Alternatively we can offer custom-made courses according to your wishes.
Our teachers led by Chef de Cuisine Gero Hottinger well known from his partnership in the famous Restaurant Kanavaranta are all experienced international Chefs.
In Helsinki we have also a conference room that we rent on a daily basis. For groups we also serve lunches in different price classes.
